Player Evaluations

Important Notice for Members of the Adanacs Field Lacrosse Association

Attention all members of the Adanacs Field Lacrosse Association… The 2010/2011 season will begin soon!!!

Player evaluations will be held at the Coquitlam Town Centre Sports Field Complex from Tuesday, September 7^th through Sunday, September 12^th. Evaluations will consist of 1 one-hour skills assessment and 1 one-hour scrimmage for each player. Skills evaluations will occur on September 7^th, 8^th, and 9^th and scrimmages will occur on September 12^th.

For your planning purposes, a tentative schedule follows. We will soon post more detailed information so that you can see your child’s specific evaluation schedule.

U8 (2002 and younger): Skills 5pm on September 8^th / Scrimmage 9am on September 12^th

U10 (2000&2001): Skills 5pm or 6pm on September 8^th / Scrimmage 10am on September 12^th

U12 (1998&1999): Skills 6pm or 7pm on September 8^th / Scrimmage 11am on 12pm on September 12^th

U14 (1996&1997): Skills 8pm or 9pm on September 9^th / Scrimmage 1pm or 2pm on September 12^th

U16 (1994&1995): Skills 8pm or 9pm on September 7^th / Scrimmage 3pm or 4pm on September 12^th

U19 (1991&1992&1993): one session only – tentatively scheduled for noon on Saturday, September 11^th.

Evaluation sessions will proceed rain or shine. Due to ongoing field construction in Port Moody and Coquitlam field time is limited so we will be on an extremely tight schedule. Please plan to be prompt!

New Referees Wanted

Also… ADANACS Field Lacrosse is looking for new Referees!

The Adanacs Field Lacrosse Association is committed to the development of all referees and will provide training and mentoring throughout the season.

The next training session is scheduled for Saturday, September 18th and is paid for by the Association. All new refs will be paired with more senior referees for ongoing training.

We recognize that most of you will also be playing this year, so will work around your game schedule to ensure you receive as many reffing opportunities as possible this season.

2010/2011 Adanacs Field Lacrosse Registration

Ongoing field lacrosse registration will now be conducted on a drop-off basis following the instructions below.

Register by July 16^th to guarantee a roster spot and to avoid the $25 late registration fee

We will make our best efforts to accommodate all players.
However, players registered after July 16^th may be placed on a waiting list

Registration Fees

U12 – U19 Girls: $100 ($125 if registered after July 16^th)

Season runs from September – December

U8 Boys $100 ($125 if registered after July 16^th)

(for boys born in 2002 or later)

Season runs from September – December

U10 – U19 Boys $200 ($225 if registered after July 16^th)

(for boys born before 2002)

Season runs from September – March

To register you must include all required documentation in a sealed envelope and deliver to the registrar either: (a) by mail or (b) by dropping off in the ‘Adanac Field Lacrosse’ box at the address below:

Please include the following in your envelope:

3 copies of fully-completed and signed (blue ink, please) registration forms for each player

Please indicate the size of shorts your player would like (Youth XS/S/M/L or Adult XS/S/M/L/XL/2XL/3XL)

Photocopy of each player’s birth certificate (for ALL players – new and returning!)

Photocopy of BC Care Card for each player

Photocopy of proof of residency (phone bill, Hydro bill, etc.)

Separate cheques for each player’s registration fees (see below for fees)

Please make cheques payable to “AFLA” (Adanacs Field Lacrosse Association)
